About Flowers with Flair

How We Started

Working as freelance florists together on several large projects we discovered we both had a similar desire and passion to share our knowledge and expertise with others Being disappointed by the standard of floristry in some areas, we were driven to take good design and a high standard of floristry skills to the market. We decided to form the Flower School as a way to take this forward.

 

Janice Unitt

Born and brought up in East London I moved to Suffolk when I married.  After a career in the Health sector I decided to follow the passion of my heart and re-train as a florist gaining the National Certificate and the Advanced National Certificate in Floristry, both with distinction. 
Together with the valuable knowledge and experience working with local well known florists I decided to work on a freelance basis to widen this experience further, working on various projects such as the Vodaphone Derby at Epsom, Society weddings and events and some time working in Holland in addition to winning awards for my work and having features in various bridal magazines.  Flowers with Flair, my own business, blossomed in 2004, and together with regular contract work the company works on a regular basis in prestigious locations such as the West Wing at Ickworth and Yaxley Hall for weddings and events, together with demonstrating across East Anglia.

 

Helen Hillier

Born in Hong Kong and with an arts background, I started my own business in South-West London providing blue chip companies in the city of London and various prestigious hotels in the West End with banqueting and contract flowers.  Having decorated some of London’s most famous landmarks I decided to move to the peace and quiet of the Norfolk countryside, where I have been working on a freelance basis demonstrating extensively over the south-east and midlands, and working for various companies on projects such as the Vodaphone Derby at Epsom, Royal Ascot and Society weddings throughout the UK and Europe
